SASO certification matters needing attention
Test based on SASO / PAI or IEC Standard + national differences, the need for a separate consideration of the SASO / PAI standard requirements, some terms have bigger difference, Saudi Arabia rated voltage of 220V, 50 / 60Hz ( BS plugs ) or 127V, 60Hz (with UL plug ) ( to provide a prototype for testing ); voltage for Kuwait 240V, 50Hz (with BS plug ).
Forbidden to Saudi exports includes: weapons, alcohol, tranquilizers, pork, pornography, wine equipment, fireworks, Christmas tree, mask, visual telephone, animal or human toys, figurines.
Class 0 and Class I electrical products is not allowed. Tropical temperatures: + 45 C. Tags for Arabic; plug shall comply with SASO 2203 / 2003 ( 220V ), SASO 2204 / 2003 ( 127V );
Type certification to factory inspection;
For exports to Saudi Arabia electrical products, marking on the product must include the 60Hz rated frequency;
Export to Saudi Arabia air conditioning user manual must be in Arabic and english;
Audio and video products, users manual must be in arabic;
The original regulation and EMC report must be accredited laboratory in 2-3 years issued a report.
